Strength:
Qualified and well experienced teaching staff with a well mixure of young and old teachers. Sound infrastucture and good educational environment. Fully equipped computerized Library with internet and Wi-Fi facility.
Weakness:
Most of the student’s family background with low socioeconomic status which often lack the financial, social, and educational supports. Majority of the students are "Earning while Learning Students". They seek the part-time job for improving financial support of their family. They find it difficult to keep terms with the college sometimes and complete the course. Maximum of the students are first generation learners. Number of volumes and journals in the department library need to be increased. Student and staff are to be encouraged for paper presentation at various National/International conferences, workshops and seminars.
Opportunities:
Reflecting on the opportunities, scheduled online classes provide to the students especially when it becomes difficult to accommodate certain class schedules in COVID pandemic situation. Sports, cultural activities, NCC, placement cell activities help students to develop their personality and get an opportunity for all round development of themselves.
Challenges:
Most of the challenge is poor socio-economic status of many of the students who find it difficult to complete the course because of financial constraints around them. First generation learners often hailing from impoverished backgrounds find it difficult to cope with the syllabus. The department utmost to facilitate to these students by arranging remedial classes so that they may achieve the basic academic standard required of them.
Future Plan:
To make a departmental library and need maximum number of volumes and journals with Computer and Internet facilities.
To organize more seminars, conferences, workshop, webinar, and special lectures in the state, national and International level.
