All science Departments have well equipped laboratories having all laboratory equipment prescribed by Calcutta University. The laboratories are spacious airy and well planned. Students are guided by teachers of their respective Departments. Rules to be followed while using each laboratory is specified and students strictly follow said rules and regulations.
Department of Physics: The Department of Physics provides well-equipped laboratory facilities for students from both Honours and General streams, consisting of set-ups within and beyond the curriculum. The department has 5 laboratories including a computer lab with an internet facility. The five laboratories are equipped with state-of-the-art instruments of electricity magnetism, thermal physics, modern physics, classical mechanics, and electronics. The optics lab of the department consists of five functioning spectrometers with suitable sodium or mercury sources, set up of Newton's ring, thin film apparatus that helps the students to experimentally observe the wave nature of light. The Electronics laboratory mainly accommodates electronic instruments in addition to few other such as function generator, oscilloscopes, frequency measurable multimeter,, potentiometer, DC power supply, ammeter, voltmeter etc. The Computer lab is dedicated for Computation (using Python/Fortran languages) and soft-skill development courses like Latex and Arduino based projects. This lab consists of Seven computers (upgraded with windows 10, 4GB RAM and additional configurations to support latest Python version) with internet connection and two Laptops with adequate configurations.

Other facilities: In our department several text and reference books are available for the students and teachers. We have also a smart room for teaching through power point presentation.
